As a tour guide here I am frequently asked for information on different things to do around the area. I thought sharing a little "locals insight" of some of the fun and free things to do around here might be interesting.

Arches gets over 3 million visitors a year. If too many get into the park at one time there is nowhere to park your car to visit the cool things. Insider tip: If you don't have a reservation you can go after 4:00 or be THROUGH THE GATE before 7am. Pro tip: nobody in the pay booth after 6:00 pm.

They don't. There is a very small, but very vocal minority that complains about off road vehicle noise. Moab is known world wide for it's amazing off road trails and off road visitors contribute millions to our local economy.
Why are all the rocks here red?

Actually, they are white. The sandstone is comprised of white sand. However the sand has a high iron content. So, any of the rock that is exposed to oxygen and water will rust. If you see recently broken rocks you will notice that they are white on the inside and red on the outer layer...Rusted.
